    Territory Parks comes ALIVE!

    The Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory has launched its Ranger talk program for 2013! The program is called “Territory Parks Alive” and includes FREE walks and talks in many Parks and Reserves across the NT. The program is an opportunity for visitors and locals to meet a local Ranger and learn more about our special places. We have talks about termites, rare plants and animals, geology, fossils, Aboriginal culture, bush tucker and lots, lots more. The talks come in all different forms including talks around the camp fire, slideshows at night, guided walks and hands on activities. These talks are a great opportunity for families to enjoy our magic Parks and to engage kids in their natural environment. Download a brochure and come join us today!

  • Berry Springs open for swimming

    Berry Springs open for swimming

    The  Parks and Wildlife Commission of the NT advises that Berry Springs Nature Park  will be open for swimming from today.
      
    Regional Chief Ranger, Mr Nigel Weston said the popular swimming spot is now  open to the public following the completion of estuarine (saltwater) crocodile  surveys and water quality testing, after the regular Wet Season closure. - Read More

  • Wangi Falls and the Lost City 4WD Track re opened

    Wangi Falls and the Lost City 4WD Track re opened

    The Parks and Wildlife Commission of the NT advises that Wangi Falls is now open for swimming and the Lost City 4WD Track in Litchfield National Park is now open for the Dry Season. Acting District Ranger, Ms Julie Heran said the Wangi Falls Plunge Pool is closed to the public for swimming every Wet Season due to extreme conditions including fast flowing water, and the likely presence of saltwater (estuarine) crocodile and the Lost City 4WD track is closed due to flooding and access issues.
